3 Star Inc 3S-5-150S 5' Foot x 1.50" inch OD 18 AWG Satellite Dish TV Antenna Mast Pole Pipe Swaged
Ideal as a TV, Radio, WISP, Wireless Internet, Cellular, DISH500 and DIRECTV Dish Antenna Mast (will NOT work for DIRECTVs SL3/5) for Ground or Wall mount Installation.
This 5 Foot (60") by 1.50" OD 18 AWG swaged end Antenna Mast tube is galvanized for weather and used to extend any 1-1/4 inch 18 gauge antenna masts by fitting the swaged end of this mast into the open end of the other mast tube of the same diameter and gauge, thereby extending the existing mast an additional 5 feet to fit a Variety of Mounts for Flexibility In Antenna Mounting and Height Clearance.
Manufacturers recommend that masts heights of 10 feet and higher be guyed for Addition Wind Load Support.
(Mount Not Included)

There's a Big difference between 18 AWG and 16 AWG when it comes to joining Swaged to straight antenna mast. You cannot mix and match 16 and 18 gauge masts so please, verify the mast you have before purchasing a complimenting swaged section. Be Sure and afford yourself 2 feet minimum, up to 1/4 of the overall mast length between the two wall mounts you would utilize in your TV antenna Installation. The Torque applied from wind load through cantilever to these mounts can be significant.

Selecting Antenna Mast Pipe?

Selecting the proper antenna mast pipe is crucial. Depending on the size of your antenna, it's EPA, weight and height all play a factor in selecting a supportive pole. When planning, it's best to have all the information you can get like outside diameter of your attaching method, the clearance of gutters, siding or other obstacles in the path of your erecting a mast or tower.

Here you will find standard straight pipe in 5' foot and 10' foot lengths. You can also find those same pipes with a special end called a swag. A swaged ended pipe allows you to attach several lengths of pipe together.

Swaged End Straight End

When selecting a pipe you will need to know the length, OD (outside diameter), the AWG 16 or 18 (the smaller the number the thicker the steel) and whether you'll need any swaged ended pieces. You'll then need to select the proper mounting such as wall, roof or maybe a tripod
